a little about the journey
At the beginning of this journey, I wasn’t particularly open to the magic within the energies around me, all though I had always felt a deep love for nature and found many ways to connect with it. One day, while foraging for mushrooms, I stumbled upon a piece of quartz crystal that I mistakenly believed was a diamond. This small discovery sparked a curiosity in me for earth minerals and led me to explore the rich mining history of the North Pennines in England. I learned that this region is home to stunning, gem quality green fluorite, along with countless other minerals.
This experience transformed my foraging adventures and awakened a fascination with crystals, not just for their visual beauty, which I had always appreciated, but also for their metaphysical properties. Once I allowed myself to connect with this magic, everything began to fall into place. I experienced profound divine alignments, and within just a few months, my life shifted dramatically from a place of limbo and questioning purpose to fully embracing a life and passion centred around crystal foraging.
Discovering my grandfather’s history as a miner, his connection to the MMD party, and his involvement with the Copperbelt region’s parliamentary landscape in Zambia added another layer of meaning to my path. His dedication to fairness in the mining industry and his love for emeralds and other crystals inspired me even further. I began exploring local mines and recovering unique specimens from old spoil piles and sharing the treasures I found in the North Pennines with people in the South Pennines and around the world.
This journey of discovery and sharing eventually gave birth to the Copper Magic Wands that combine my crystal finds with the high energy properties of copper, creating one-of-a-kind unique magical tools. Over the years I've shared countless wonderful creations at markets, holistic festivals, and magical gatherings while traveling, but the idea of reaching more people worldwide through the internet began to take hold.
Even as I embrace this digital expansion, I remain a strong advocate for authentic, human connection. Nothing compares to the magic of meeting someone in person, experiencing a piece of art firsthand, or sharing a crystal discovery face to face. In our increasingly high tech world I hope to inspire people to balance the convenience of technology with the beauty of real life interaction, helping to create a more connected and vibrant world.
